Chandeliers for Boys' Rooms

It can be hard to decide on the perfect overhead lighting for your little boy's room. You want the look to bring the room together without overpowering the overall theme whether it be stars, cars, or fishing, but you don't want it to resemble something without any taste at all. Normally, one doesn't think of using a chandelier in a little boy's room, but here we will show you two ways using a chandelier can work well in a boy's room.

Caesar Pewter 5 Arm ChandelierFirst, in the nursery grey has become a popular color. Whether you're using orange and grey, green and grey, or blue and grey, a pewter chandelier with shades to match your accent color can be the perfect way to finish up the nursery with chic overhead lighting. Pewter Chandeliers give the new parents the ability to keep the room chic without overpowering their little boy with too many details.

These chandeliers not only come in many different colors to suit your tastes, but the shades you can choose from vary between stripes, stars, and trims in order to make his chandelier unique!

Aaron Chambray Double PendantFinally, a pendant chandelier is another great option for a boys' room. Pendant Chandeliers can provide wonderful lighting in any shade to match the room you have chosen for your little one. If your boys are sharing a room, pendant chandeliers are another great option to help them have their own space. By hanging one pendant chandelier above each of their beds, or on opposing sides of the room, your boys can find their own places in which they control the light for reading, playing, or doing homework!

New Trends in Nursery Design

New Lighting and Decorating Trends in the Nursery

As my trips to YouTube have increased with pure excitement and curiosity, I must say I am noticing more and more trends. Not only are new Mommies vlogging throughout their pregnancies, but some of them are vlogging their entire nursery design process.

For the New Trends in Nursery Design, I will be using the tips from Wendy Bellisimo, who helped design Elle's Nursery. Wendy Bellisimo begins with a chic, jeweled lamp base and shade like this one from KidsLighting.ComChelsea Lamp. It's just perfect for a little girl's room when you just want to add that extra special touch of class and sophistication if you don't have the room or the space to go over the top with a huge chandelier. Feel free to pick a simple shade to hand decorate if you're feeling crafty or picks something simple like this lampshade and base from KidsLighting.Com.

Wendy Bellisimo also suggested to Elle another great idea for Mommies everywhere! Elle loved it, and I think you will too! Try inserting hand crafted goodies into your baby's new home so that you can both grow together. Personally, I'm loving the idea she had for Elle to paint a simple canvas for her child, and to use a real tree branch with beautiful, hand-painted birds as the perfect mobile to hang above the crib.

But now, I'd like to hear about your nurseries! Have you used any of these tips and tricks? What did you make homemade or what did you build your nursery around? And, finally, what kids' lighting or nusery lighting brings the new nursery or the new big kids' room together for you and your new bundle of joy? Let me know in the comments below!
